Reduce Your Cellulite with the ZWave

If you have textured skin that looks like cottage cheese or the skin of an orange, you’re not alone. Up to 90% of women and 10% of men have cellulite, the medical term for that dimpled skin on your legs, stomach, or hips.

Cellulite can affect anyone, even if you live a healthy lifestyle and maintain a healthy weight. It’s harmless, but many people find it embarrassing. Uneven skin texture that’s characteristic of cellulite may make you want to hide your legs and make you dread swimsuit season, but you shouldn’t have to live that way.

Under medical supervision by Kevin Chan, DO, MS, FASA, our team of aesthetic experts at Pineapple Health in Phoenix can help you smooth the look of embarrassing cellulite. The Zimmer ZWave is a noninvasive way to tone skin and improve elasticity, minimizing the look of frustrating cellulite.

Find out if ZWave could be the cellulite treatment you’ve been hoping for by booking your consultation online or by phone today.

Cellulite is common and notoriously hard to treat

Cellulite is dimpled or lumpy skin on your abdomen, hips, buttocks, or thighs. It’s thought to be caused by fat deposits pushing up between the bands of tissue connecting your skin to the muscle below.

It’s most common in women, because women are more likely to have fat around their stomachs, hips, and thighs. It’s in these areas that cellulite often appears first, but it can also develop on the breasts or arms.

Bands of tissue keep your skin and muscle close together. But when fat accumulates between your skin and your muscle, it pops up between the bands and gives your skin an uneven, dimpled look.

Because cellulite is a common condition and embarrassing for many, there’s an abundance of treatments, creams, and lotions targeted at improving skin’s appearance. But these topical treatments rarely work, because they don’t address the cause of cellulite — loss of skin elasticity and weakening connective tissue.

ZWave treatment targets cellulite below the skin's surface

Zimmer Aesthetics’ ZWave is a flexible aesthetic platform developed to treat cellulite. It uses high-energy radial shockwaves to revitalize protein structure below the surface of your skin, improving blood flow and making skin appear firmer.

Our aestheticians use ZWave for patients who are bothered by cellulite on their arms, abdomen, buttocks, and legs. The shockwaves gently stimulate collagen production in your skin, which helps it become firmer and smoother over time. It strengthens connective tissue and limits the textured look of cellulite in the treatment area.

ZWave treatment is completely noninvasive, and many patients say it feels like a relaxing massage. There’s no downtime following treatment, so you can return to your daily routine as soon as you leave our office.

We customize each patient’s ZWave treatment plan for best results. Depending on your aesthetic goals, we may recommend up to 10 treatment sessions. We can offer tips on maintaining your results, which typically include living an active, healthy lifestyle and eating a nutritious diet.

You don’t have to live with the look of embarrassing cellulite. To learn more about how ZWave treatment can reduce the appearance of cellulite, book a consultation at Pineapple Health online or by phone today.
