BeautiFill® for Buttocks Enhancement

The quest for your ideal body can take you a lot of places, and the challenges of achieving your goals tend to get harder as you get older. Nature seems to have its own ideas about your body shape, and your efforts may be frustrated by deposits of fat where you don’t want them and lack of volume where you do. Wouldn’t it be great if you could move fat around selectively?

Pineapple Health in Phoenix, Arizona is one of a growing number of practices offering a laser-based fat harvesting system called BeautiFill®. Dr. Kevin Chan and his team offer BeautiFill as a reliable way to take fat from problem areas and relocate it to where you want the extra volume. Buttock enhancement is an ideal application for BeautiFill technology.

The problems with fat grafting

Dating back to the 1890s, fat grafting was first used as a way to fill scars and rebuild a normal appearance after surgeries. At that time it was an aggressive “last resort” technique, not an elective cosmetic procedure.

Contemporary liposuction dates back to the mid-1970s, a technique to remove fat from the body using a hollow cannula and suction. Combining liposuction with fat grafting seems, on paper, an ideal match. Liposuction, though, was intended simply to remove fat, and there wasn’t initially a need to keep those fat cells viable. Liposuction-based fat grafting suffers from poor harvest efficiency.

Buttock enhancement with BeautiFill

Developed by Alma Lasers, a leading provider of medical and aesthetic laser devices, BeautiFill uses lasers to improve the fat recovery process in place of conventional liposuction. Typically, over 90% of cells harvested using BeautiFill remain viable after transfer, exceeding the success rate of liposuction.

Volume matters when it comes to buttock enhancement. Commonly known as the Brazilian butt lift, buttock enhancements using fat transfer account for close to 30,000 procedures per year. When using liposuction, the lower rate of survival of transferred fat cells means you may need more than one procedure to achieve your desired results. Typical fat harvest sites include areas such as the:

Results from BeautiFill usually hit the mark the first time, and the results last for years. Healthy fat cells “take” at the transplant location, incorporating with native tissue to add volume and shape to the buttocks, bringing your proportions into line with other parts of your body.

What to expect from your procedure

BeautiFill is an in-office, outpatient procedure performed under local anesthetic. The length of your session depends on the treatment area and amount of volume you wish to add. Because BeautiFill uses lasers to gently loosen fat cells for harvest, you’ll experience less post-procedure bruising or swelling.

Recovery time also depends on the extent of your fat transfer. Generally, the more volume you add to the buttocks, the longer your recovery will be, but this is usually measured in days.

BeautiFill is designed from the ground up to aid fat grafting procedures like buttock enhancement, so you can expect better results faster than hybrid procedures using liposuction.
