Agnes began her nursing career in critical care and intensive care units at two Boston hospitals, Massachusetts General Hospital and Beth Israel Hospital. It was here that she realized so much could be done to prevent many of the illnesses she was treating in hospitalized patients. She went on to obtain a Master’s degree in nursing from Boston University as a Clinical Specialist and a Master’s degree from Simmons College (Boston) in Adult Primary Care. Since then, she has been certified as an Adult Primary Care Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Agnes has always been active in the Ahwatukee community. She established her own Primary Care practice (New Paths to Healthcare, LLC) for many years where she was the sole provider serving residents of Ahwatukee and surrounding areas.
Her focus has always been disease prevention and health promotion by creating a special relationship with each patient. Her aim is to help each one achieve his or her optimal level of wellness, taking into consideration the limits of their current medical status. Patient education is a key element in her practice as well as the assessment and treatment of medical and bio-psycho-social needs.
She lives in Ahwatukee with her husband and their faithful canine companion Bailey. When she is not wearing her stethoscope, she is passionate about knitting and crochet, reading, and participating in High Intensity Interval Training classes at a local gym 6 mornings a week.
